Fried Strawberry Cheesecake Sandwiches
Ingredients
8 slices white or brioche bread
8 oz cream cheese, softened
½ cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup strawberry preserves or strawberry pie filling
2 eggs
½ cup milk
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Oil or butter for frying
Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Preparation
In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Spread the cheesecake mixture onto four slices of bread. Top each with strawberry filling, then cover with remaining bread slices to form sandwiches. Press edges gently.
In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, and cinnamon. Dip each sandwich into the mixture, coating both sides.
Heat oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat. Fry sandwiches until golden brown on both sides and heated through. Remove and drain briefly on paper towels.
Serving Tips
Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm. Add whipped cream, fresh strawberries, or chocolate drizzle for extra indulgence.
Storage
Best served fresh. Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 1 day and reheated in a skillet or air fryer.
